Update May 2007....

I decided to add this back into the site because it was very popular based on the number of hits it was getting.  So all you conspiracy theorists, have at it!  I checked out some of the links, and some still work despite this being about 8 years old.

BTW... John Kerry is a member of Skull & Bones, too!

Preliminary Comments on THC Program “Secret Societies”

I need to state at the very beginning that I am not a “conspiracy theorist” in the usual pejorative sense of the label. I don’t study conspiracy theories nor do I study secret societies in general. I do have an interest in Skull and Bones because I believe they are immoral, have somewhat of a power network, and two US Presidents named Bush are members. I also believe that if the average American who voted for Dubya was aware of the activities that happen in The Tomb, they would be amazed and disgusted by this phony who claims to be an upstanding Christian.

So, my original intention was to just include the parts of the program relating to Skull and Bones. I feel that The History Channel is regarded as mainstream media and a reputable source, and any publicity given to Dubya’s devious past by mainstream media will be noted on this site if I become aware of it. As I sat down at the computer to begin this somewhat tedious task, I realized that there was much more in the program that might be of interest to visitors to this site, so I made the decision to transcribe the entire program. The program contains information and opinion about groups that I had either never heard of or assumed were non-controversial, namely The Council on Foreign Relations, The Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderbergs.

Here are some of people who were involved with creating the program:

Writer: Susan Michaels

Narrator: David Ackroyd

Researcher: Sharon Grish

Host: Arthur Kent

Guests (in order of first appearance):

David Icke: Author, The Biggest Secret. David Icke is a former soccer star and BBC commentator. I should note that I’m not particularly sympathetic to ideas of spirituality and the occult, so visit this site with the awareness that Mr. Icke is .

Jim Marrs: Journalist/Author.  Check out his website.

Daniel Pipes: Author, Conspiracy. Pipes is the program’s naysayer to all the conspiracy theories presented in the program. I’m going to let you in on a secret that the program withholds until near the end, namely that he’s a member of The Council on Foreign Relations, one of the subject groups. This revelation had a dramatic effect in the program, but I think it’s more useful to have this information up front. It is also important to note that he worked for the George Bush Sr. campaign both elections .

Ron Rosenbaum: Author, The Secret Parts of Fortune . Rosenbaum is a Yalie who has spent a great deal of time researching Skull and Bones. He lived across the street from The Tomb as a student.

Jim Tucker: Tramp Journalist. I’m not exactly sure what the term “tramp journalist” means, but he is described in the program as a “self-appointed Bilderberg watchdog”.  I couldn't find a link on Jim Tucker but I found a dandy on the the Bilderbergs.

Reneta Adler: Author, Gone: The Last Days of the New Yorker.

If I found a good link or website by the guest, I’ve made their name into a hyperlink to the site.

I have a comment or two about the writing style of the show. The narrator’s parts are frequently in the present tense, which not only is incorrect, it also drives me nuts when people write that way. Also, my Word for Windows grammar checker nearly blew a gasket trying to point out the passive sentence structure; this story has a whopping 13%. Oh well, nobody’s perfect, including your editor. You’ll probably find some of my mistakes, too.

So much for the preliminaries, on to the show. If you just want to skip ahead to the parts on Skull and Bones, click HERE.

History’s Mysteries Secret Societies Transcript of program aired 2/12/01

Kent: Coming up- do shadowy and clandestine groups really rule the world?

Narrator: No one disputes the existence of organizations with secret rituals and elaborate rules. But some claim their members have more than secrecy on their minds.

Icke: In the next 5 to 10 years, we are all going to live in a global version of Nazi Germany.

Kent: Could there be a group of puppetmasters that have the world on a string?

Pipes: Basically, all the conspiracy theories about secret societies wanting to take over the world are wrong.

Kent: When it comes to believing in conspiracies Americans are second to none. According to true believers, conspirators led America into the Second World War, were behind the assassination of JFK, and deliberately spread HIV. And sitting at the top of the conspiracy pyramid are those secret societies that supposedly control the entire world. Conspiracy buffs are absolutely convinced that a few men wield more power than any president, king, or dictator. Who are these alleged conspirators and why are so many convinced of their omnipotence? Join us for Secret Societies.

Narrator: On a Swiss mountain armed guards protect a secret meeting of the world’s power elite. At Yale University the scions of America’s First Families confess their sexual exploits from a gruesome coffin. In a smoke-filled room, a handful of power brokers manipulate the global economy. These are the purported activities of some of America’s secret societies, groups with names like Bilderberg, Skull and Bones, and The Trilateral Commission.

Icke: What people are going to see is going to make their hair curl. What’s been going on, in front of their face and behind their back, all their lives, while they thought a completely different story was unfolding.

Marrs: A lot of people are familiar with the more famous names that are connected to these secret societies – Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller, etc. etc. [pictures flash of Bill Clinton, George Washington, Jimmy Carter, George H. W. Bush, Peter Jennings, and others]…. But there are literally hundreds of top-level very powerful people who are at the inner core of these secret societies.

Narrator: From the United State’s earliest history, secret societies such as the Freemasons and the Oddfellows have existed. Their rituals, symbols, and secret handshakes have offered an endless source of fascination and speculation for the uninitiated. Now, accord to a small but growing number of conspiracy theorists these purportedly benign institutions are part of a sinister plot.

Icke: There is, in truth, a hidden hand that’s working behind the scenes, behind all these apparently unconnected organizations and they are advancing, quietly unseen, an agenda for world government, world central bank, world currency, world army, and a microchip population. And, it’s not done openly because if we knew that was the agenda, we’d scream very loudly.

Marrs: When you go look through history, history’s just one long list of conspiracies. In fact, I often tell people, “If it’s not an act of God, it’s a conspiracy.” Daniel Pipes: I have yet to see a clandestine effort by so-called “secret societies” to gain power or to harm other people or to gain their own ambitions through their power.
