ENRON willfully victimized consumers and thought it was hilarious. Caution: This page contains language and links to language used by the dirty bastards that ripped off billions of dollars from energy consumers in the western US. If you are offended by the way these Enron people spoke, please consider yourselves warned. (6/3/04) The story about how Enron illegally, purposefully, and deviously manipulated the electricity and natural gas supply in the western states in 2001 is not new. It was reported back then by many (including yours truly) and even became the subject of a now-defunct website. (If anyone knows what happened to the Daily Enron, please drop me a note). Back then the reports referred to actual named schemes that they pulled to choke off power and drive prices up. "Ricochet", "Fat Boy", "Get Shorty", "Load Shift", and "Death Star" were a few of the code names these brazen, chortling thieves used while they laughed among themselves about ripping off "Grannies" who were "too fucking stupid to fill out a butterfly ballot". Well, for some reason that passes understanding, these leeches recorded their telephone conversations and a public utility in Washinton has put the story of these transcripts on their webpage: http://www.snopud.com/?page=107&17_article=234 The transcripts themselves were published on The Seattle Times website on 6/2/04. If you would like to read their story on the transcripts, click the following link. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2001945474_webenronaudio02.html I have put the transcript files up on my website; you can read them here by clicking on the links below. These require Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free download) to view. If you ever play chess on the internet "All those money [sic] you stole from those poor grandmothers in California?" "Serious shit goin' on out in the West, man" "...it's going to stay fuckin' hot forever and people die down there." If you still think Kenny Lay doesn't belong in jail after reading these, please report for Soilant Green processing at the facility nearest you.
