Try Out A Little "Tough Love" On Dubya

Sorry, this link has been shut down by censors claiming to be working in the interest of our country. When it was operational, you could click on the left or right arm and a boxing glove would hit an image of Dubya smak dab in the face. Each blow would make his face progressively more beat-up, until finally he shattered like glass. In the next scene, each blow turned him more into Alfred E. Neumann, the famous MAD Magazine character. Finally, after you delivered the last blow, a plane flew over an dropped a bomb on his head that blew up the whole scene to nothing. Then, a message prompted you to either "Play Again" or "Email to a friend".
I guess Americans should sleep better tonight knowing that there are government people out there doing their damndest to prevent us from voicing our opinions about the worst SOB criminal idiot that ever became President.
Dubya On Faith-Based Offensive
(6/26/01) Dubya is cranking up his pitch on the "Faith-based initiative" by trying to assure us that this is already a common practice and will be a natural extention of government social services. This is pure malarkey.
What Dubya isn't saying speaks volumes about how wrong this idea is. First off, it is a violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution which prevents the government from establishing a religion. Second, Dubya's plan is discriminatory because only Christian churches will be granted funds. It is also discrminatory because those groups receiving federal tax dollars will be able to hire on the basis of religion. What this REALLY is is a transparent effort to placate the religious right wackos who have gained so much power in the GOP.
This idea, if ever implemented, would open up a can of worms for tracking the money, auditing the religious groups to make sure that they are not using it for promoting their faith, and lawsuits from churches outside Dubya's narrow-minded idea of what a church is. What a brainless, bigoted toady he must be to come up with a scheme like this.

Putin Warns US On Missile Defense Plan
(6/19/01) Vladimir Putin has reacted publicly to Darth Dubya's Star Wars Defense Fallacy with no uncertain terms. "We will reinforce our capability. The nuclear arsenal of Russia will be augmented multi-fold". Putin went on to explain that if the US abandons the 1972 ABM Treaty, START I and START II would be thrown out as well. The START I treaty banned the use of of MERVs (multiple warheads on a single missile). Putin said that Russia would simply rearm its missiles with multiple warheads, a tactic that would saturate any ABM system and allow some of the warheads to hit their targets.
Folks, if we don't get a hold on this nonsense AND QUICK we are soon going to find ourselves back in the Cold War. Been there, done that, don't want my grandkids to grow up that way.

Condoleeza Rice Says Star Wars Will Proceed
(6/17/01) On NBC's "Meet The Press" Dubya's National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice said that the US will proceed with the "National Missile Defense" system with or without the blessing of the other members of the ABM treaty. This will be a clear violation Article XV of the 1972 ABM treaty which has been the cornerstone of US-Soviet relations for 29 years. Article XV of the ABM treaty states:
The violation of the treaty is that even Dubya won't be able to trump up "extraordinary events related to the subject matter of this treaty" to justify scrapping it. The frequently heard rationalization from Dubya and his mouthpieces is that we have to protect ourselves from "rogue nations". Yet nobody can make a case that there is a credible threat of a direct nuclear assault by anyone else in the world except Russia or China. That is the dirty little secret of this nonsense. Dubya's throng of Cold Warrior advisors is expecting relations with the Russians and Chinese to go south and put the US back in the Cold War.
ONE DEFINITION of "rogue nation" that I frequently hear is "a country that refuses to abide by its treaties." Dubya's policies ARE TURNING THE US INTO A ROGUE NATION. Please take a moment to contact your Senators and Representatives and tell them to block this madness.
Dubya and Vladimir Exchange Vows in Shocking Double Ring Ceremony!
(6/16/01) In a romantic ceremony that 
featured the Moscow Symphony for
music, George Dubya Bush and Vladimir "The Killer" Putin were married
today before a small crowd. The marriage is expected to solidify
relations between the Bush Family and the Russian Mafia.
Groom #1 wore a black suit with a non-descript tie. Groom #2 also wore a black suit with a non-descript tie.
Dubya chose to duck questions concerning the impact of this event on his previously existing marriage to Laura Bush or the potential alienation from the vast majority of his right-wing supporters. The only comment he alledgely made was that the sight of hundreds of Swedish backsides put him in the mood.
In two related stories, Trent Lott was said to be stable after suffering anaphalactic shock when he heard the news. Funeral services for Strom Thurmond are scheduled for next Wednesday.
Swedes Moon Dubya
(6/15/01) A group of demonstrators outside the Gotenburg Radisson Hotel left no doubt as to what Dubya could kiss concerning his rejection of the Kyoto Protocol and his proposal to scrap the ABM treaty and restart the world arms race.
The Times
of London reported that on cue, hundreds of demonstrators turned their
backsides towards the hotel, bent over, and dropped their drawers.
There are likely to be times during this tour when things get lost in the
translation; this is definitely NOT one of those times!
Dubya Strikes Out With The EU
(6/12/01) Just 3 days after vowing to be the "Leader on Global Warming", Dubya took a slap in the noggin with a Big Wet Trout from the European Union.
The European Union’s statement included a rebuttal of several points made by Bush, among them:
Research and technology: Bush’s emphasis on more scientific and technological research “should not become an excuse for delaying action,” it stated.
The Kyoto Protocol: Bush’s approach “seems to lack the extra step that parties considered necessary by adopting the Kyoto Protocol, namely for industrialized countries to take the lead in reducing emissions on the basis of clear targets and timetables that should lead to curbing emission trends. “Therefore,” it added, “we would like to see the details of the U.S. proposals in order to see how they complement and go beyond existing commitments” under the 1992 climate change convention signed by the United States and other countries.
Developing countries: Responding to Bush’s complaint that developing countries are not required to cut emissions under Kyoto, the union stated: “We cannot expect that developing countries do something that many industrialized countries in the world, with all their research and technological capabilities, have not been able to do.” At a news conference after meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar, Bush said the criticism was unfair, countering that “our nation is concerned” about global warming and that “we’ve begun the process to address the problem."
But he reiterated that Kyoto is out of the question, claiming it “is not based upon science.” “On other hand,” he said, “I did say loud and clear we must continue the process of dialogue.” Bush is expected to hear more from the European Union on Thursday and Friday, when he attends a summit with the union’s 15 heads of state in Goteborg, Sweden.
Wait a minute, folks... Dubya is doing the chicken dance on global warming. He says he vows to"be a leader" then denies it exists. The proverbial GOPER dichotomy; facts get in the way of policy. (MSNBC)

The National Enquirer (OK, probably not the best source) is reporting that Dubya and Laura are having a very difficult time reaching a consensus on how to handle this situation with their rebellious drunken daughter.
Well, Governor Dubya passed a "3 strikes and yer out" law in Texas, proving that he is a believer in Tough Love. Jenna HAS her 3 strikes now, if you include the 12/31/97 bust that turned up in the TABC database. According to Dubya's law, Jenna should spend 6 months behind bars. So, what are you waiting for, Georgie? OHHHHH.... that's right, I almost forgot. She's a BUSH so she isn't accountable to the same laws as the rest of us.
Wait a Minute... Since When Does The CIA Do Diplomacy?
(6/12/01) The head of the CIA has been in the Middle East for a few days acting as a diplomat. It's indeed heartwarming to see that an agency whose mission has been to gather intelligence on foreigners and American dissidents, foment revolution against disagreeable world leaders, engage in the narcotics business to raise money, plot assassinations, and equate patriotism with ultra-right wingnut GOPERS, can mellow with age and find a useful purpose.
Seriously, if anyone out there knows why the CIA is involved with these negotiations, please drop me a few lines. I'm wondering if they're using the "we're gonna kick butt and take names" approach.
Dubya Proclaims Himself Leader of Global Warming
(6/11/01) In a weekend announcement, Dubya accidentally said what we all have known all along... he is the Leader of Global Warming. Between Dubya, Dickie, and all their rootin' tootin' pollutin' fossil fuel pals they lead the pack that keeps the US producing 25% of the world's greenhouse gas with only 4% of the population.
Dubya has abruptly changed his tune due to a scheduled trip to Europe where he is expected to take a thrashing for torpedoing the Kyoto Accord and reneging on his promise to the US electorate that he would reduce CO2 emissions. Riots and demonstrations have already been reported in Spain, his first scheduled stop on the tour.
If any of you have ever seen such a blatant example of political hypocrisy I invite you to email it to me. I've been watching politics fairly closely since 1968 and I can't think of one.
